A recently played fours event saw Shirley Robson, Betty Jenkins, Christine Pickard and Nancy Morrow play Colleen Crump, Gwen Haydon, Betty Hodge and Jill Messenger; this match was played late one afternoon with near perfect conditions and the eventual winner was the Crump team.

Last Tuesday we held our annual Christmas Party for all our friends at the Bowling Club and our entertainment saw the children from Canowindra Primary School giving us a demonstration of their talents; we thank them & their teachers for entertaining us & joining in the Christmas Carols.
We had over 40 people in attendance with two of our Patrons, Edna Coady and Flo Nash, enjoying the festivities. We would like to thank Betty Hodge and her helpers for the fabulous lunch she put on for us.
Also on this day, our Patron Flo had the pleasant task of presenting Shirley Robson with her Life Membership Award for her services to Ladies Bowling in Canowindra and the District.
Congratulations Shirley on this prestigious award and we appreciate your efforts over the past years of your tireless work to keep the Canowindra Ladies Bowling Club moving along with the new rules and structures that have been put in place over that time; an award worthy of its recipient.
Just a reminder girls we will be having our little get together at Nancy's place 9 January, 2007 - come along and be prepared to enjoy yourself.
