Nominated pairs semi finals played

This week we were able to play our semi finals of the Nominated Pairs.

Game one was between Sheryn Fisher & Nancy Morrow & Libby Balcombe & Betty Hodge.

Game two between Christine Pickard and Colleen Crump and Di Mooney and Gwen Haydon.

Next week we will play the finals which will be between Sheryn Fisher and Nancy Morrow and Christine Pickard & Colleen Crump.

Congratulations to our winners this week in the semi final, I'm sure we will see a terrific match next week between our winners.

Consistency Final will also be played next week between Betty Jenkins and Gwen Haydon.

We played one game of social bowls and were very happy to have Annette Thomas back with us again.

This week we had 15 bowlers on the immaculate greens at Canowindra, good going girls, keep it up.

Just a reminder to everyone about our Presentation night to be held 16 February - Mufti night with bowls at 4p.m. and presentation to follow our meal.

Hope to see many of you there.

P and A Dawes victory

With straight bowling Tim soon bowled J. Woods for 3 while Bradyn bowled J Spalding [2] with the score still on 22.

Gage Nelligan was next to go as he was run out with some quick work from wicket keeper Bailey Cain.

After drinks Alex Willson made it 5 for 30 as he bowled Charlie Johns [2] while soon after it was 6 -30 after Bailey Cain bowled Drew Johnstone for 1.

A partnership developed between Callum Farrell-Gray and Henry Hunt which took the score to 52 before Rohan Toole took a well judged, off Stewart Russell's bowling, and dismissed Farrell-Gray for 1.

With Hunt and Braithwite in for the last wicket the score advanced to 69 before Harry Whatman caught a high ball and dismissed Henry Hunt for 27 off Daniel Friend' third last ball.

Canowindra opened with Rohan Toole and Pete McNamara and these two scored quietly through the opening bowlers H. Hunt and C. Johns.

When they retired after the eighth over Rohan was on 6 and Pete on 7.

Alex Willson and Tim Middleton proceeded to build on the platform and began to score freely and when they retired Tim had Accumulated 18 runs, including 2 fours while Alex had scored 9.

Bailey Cain came in and made 6 before he retired and Bradyn Cassidy and Harry Whatman guided P and A Dawes Canowindra past 70 for the win.

Playing out their overs after this saw Bradyn run out for 6 while Harry departed hit wicket for 4.

Stewart Russell and Robert Maroney retired on one each while Daniel Friend made 3 and Dan Schuler was deceived by a quicker ball from Gage Nelligan, 0.

The Under 12s play Bowling Club at Mulyan Oval at Cowra this Saturday where we hope their winning streak continues.
