Thirty bowlers take to the green

24 Feb, 2010 09:02 AM
As Donna is away I wasn't going to write the report this week but I'm happy to announce that I have found a replacement, what I mean is I found someone else to take her place, what I mean is I found a young lady to type this for me.

What I really think is this doesn't sound too good so I'm not going to buy the paper this week and please don't tell her.

Last Saturday we had the Ron and Ken Sponsored Day and I must say, Ron you must be very popular because we had 30 bowlers on the green.

I'm quite sure everyone had a great day, with the highlight being me having lunch with five wonderful ladies.

There was one mishap that needs a mention (as you all know I don't like mentioning names but, Terry how can you order lunch at 10am and by 12.30pm you've forgotten your order? He took my curried prawns).

The reason I mentioned his name, its because by the time he reads this

article he'd forgotten.

What he read and

probably may not know this about him because he can't even remember his name. You Prawn Head!!!

The winners on the day were Ken, Betty Jenkins and Gav, score of 30 and Second was Betty Hodge, Barrie and Colleen Crump, score of 25.

We did have a team travel to Woodstock for Presidents Day (Cyril, Dally & Sparky) Sorry I don't know how they performed.

Pennant's start this Sunday the 28th (7's), your team is on the board. Please ring the club if not available.

I would like to thank the committee and anyone that helped on Saturday and a special thankyou to Angie and Staff for a great lunch.

P.S Any bad spelling, blame it on the replacement.

P.S.S Thankyou for a great time writing this report and will be available anytime. (From the replacement).
