The Traves boys got away with a great start grabbing 22 shots to 2 in their first ten ends, for Thompson and Walker had no answer to try and get within reach of this big lead.

Roger and Gordon will now play Peter Cassidy and Peter Taylor for the Cup, this will be played at a later date.

Gavin Fynan and Colleen Crump also had a good win by defeating Ken Fisher and Betty Jenkins 32-16 in the mixed pairs.

Night bowls commenced last Friday night with eight players enjoying the evening.

Last Sunday morning the club held a chook run with ten players participating in an enjoyable day.

The chook event went to Ron Lynch, Ken Perry and Di Mooney.

This will be on again Sunday because of the club not opening until 11.00am.

This Saturday the club is having a working bee on the Ron Worboys green.

Please anybody who can spare a few hours, it will be much appreciated, starting at 7.00pm.

Saturday afternoon the club is putting on a trophy day, everyone is welcome to come along.
