Mirto had to give Webb ten points start but that only lasted two ends with Mirto getting away with a flying start leading 61 to 49 on the fifth end.

From there Mirto never looked back leaving Webb to play catch ups. When Webb would get in range of Mirto, Mirto would stretch the lead further.

C Webb, P Cassidy and G Fynan defeated G Newcombe, C Mackintosh and J Davis in the Minor Triples.

This match was close right up until the 14th end when Newcombe’s team were trailing 14 to ten.

Fortunately the next end they dropped six shots. From there Webb’s team scored a further eight shots to three leaving the final at 26 to 13.

To Toby, what a great effort by not having your original side. Well done to Charlie and John putting up a good fight.
