PRESIDENT’S DAY A HUGE SUCCESS

This week we celebrated our annual President’s Day; it was Betty Jenkins first turn as our President and the whole day was a highly successful one with plenty of friendly flies & a warm wind to strengthen our resolve on the greens.

Betty welcomed our District representatives, members from the Canowindra Men’s Bowling Club, District Patron Gwen Rice from Parkes & teams from Cowra, Forbes, Orange, Parkes Railway Diggers Club, Manildra & Molong.

Our Club Member Sheryn Fisher was presented with a gold ram for services to the Canowindra Ladies Bowling Club by our District representative; congratulations Sheryn on a well deserved award.

Our congratulations to President Betty on a beautiful day and her many feminie touches to the gifts to our Patrons & the Club guests. Last but not least, on a sad note, on Tuesday morning one of our Patrons Lorna Coady passed away. Lorna was a great bowler & was now at Moyne Nursing Home but was ready for the big day, unfortunately she did not make it. Our sympathies go to the families of Robert & Anne.

Next week girls we will endeavour to get some of our Club matches played as the year is ticking aong too quickly & it will be Christmas before we know it.

See you on the greens, Jill
