Athletes set for NSW titles at Homebush

12 Mar, 2008 06:59 AM
The Canowindra team of Little Athletics will be representing the club at the NSW Championships this weekend at Homebush, Sydney.

Two of our athletes won their opportunity via zone and regional success competing against athletes from as far as Wollongong and the South Coast, who reap the benefits of extensive coaching and training resources and easier access to competition in Sydney.

Luke Watt competed at Region in Wellington in the 1500m being placed third and an outstanding first place in the long awaited 3000m.

Regan Hughes will compete in the Shotput coming from fifth position to take third spot on his final throw.

They will find the weekend very exciting and will come away with a lot of valuable experience. Good luck to both boys.

There are two weeks of Little Athletics remaining with Club Championships currently being held.

Presentation night will be held at the Canowindra Golf Club on Wednesday April 2 commencing at 5.30 pm with a barbeque.

All members are invited to attend.
