Golf Cars for Hire

The Canowindra Golf Club now has three golf cars to hire out. Cost is $25 for 18 holes or $15 for 9 holes.

Bookings with payment will be essential, as they have become very popular during the warmer months when that game of golf is a necessity.

Book now to avoid disappointment.

Sunday's 18 hole competition was an 18 Hole Stroke sponsored by John Forest. The winners were Paul Jeffress 1st, Gary Scifleet 2nd, Joe Read 3rd, Karl Maere 4th and Peter Flannery 5th.

Congratulations to all winners for the day.

The winner this week was Gwen Campbell.

Remember the green fees have to be paid at the club before going out onto the golf course to be covered by insurance.

New Golf Competition

There is a mid week competition on Wednesdays sponsored by Graeme and Alison Beasley of the Old Vic Inn and tee off from 12 noon on.

Cost will be $5.00 per player for Canowindra Golf Club golf members and $10.00 for Canowindra Golf Club social members and $15.00 for non-members.

The winner and runner up will scoop the pool for the best net scores. All cards go into the draw for the chook.

If you are a player without a current AGU handicap we will give you a provisional handicap and once you have returned enough cards your true handicap will be awarded and you can become a full golfing member.

The winner this week was Don Taylor with net 28.5 and the runner up was Peter Kennedy with net 30.

The winner of the chook was Moe Bermingham.

The Canowindra Golf Club is one of the best in the west so use the daylight saving hours. For further information contact the Canowindra Golf Club on 6344-1342.

See you at the Golfie
