On Good Friday there was a two person Ambrose, sponsored by the Canowindra Tigers.
There were 42 players; thanks to the Tigers for their support.
The winners were Dean McClintock and Terrance (Tiger) Wood, 2nd were Ned and Marg Grant, 3rd were S Reus and P Ford and 4th were Bordo and Mick Cassidy.
Sunday's 18 hole competition was competition was a three person Ambrose sponsored by the Flannery family.
There was an excellent roll up of 51 players and thanks to the Flannerys for sponsoring this event.
The winners were Ian Stapleton, J Watts and Ian Walker, 2nd were Greg Hogan, Gary Carpenter and Gary Boardman, 3rd Andrew Hegarty, Ned Grant and Rod Baker, 4th Vince Mirton, Doug Flannery and Tony Flannery, 5th Graham Rice, Reg Watt and Malcolm Curtis.
It was a great weekend for golf and the course was used every day which was great to see.
LADIES GOLF NEWS
On Wednesday we had a very good turn up and an enjoyable game of golf.
We had 21 eighteen hole players and seven nine holers.
A grade – R Ward 73 nett on a c/b from C Crump.
B grade – H Kemper 74 nett on a c/b from D Dawes.
C grade – A Cassidy 75 nett.
This month's monthly medal was won by R Ward, 73 nett.
Putting was won by J Middleton with 31 putts.
Our nine hole competition was won by J McNaught, 75 nett.
Ball sweep – B Newell and G Campbell.
The Easter Egg raffle was won by Dot Beath.

The Sunday morning 9 hole comp is carried over to next week; tee off time for this comp is any time before 10am. It is only $4 to play and everyone is welcome to come and have a hit.
Remember that green fees have to be paid at the club before going on to the course to be covered by insurance.
MID WEEK GOLF COMP
There is a mid week competition on Wednesdays with tee off from 12 noon.
Cost is $5 for Canowindra Golf Club members, $10 for Canowindra Golf Club social members and $15 for non members.
The winner and runner up scoop the pool for the best nett scores.
All cards go into the draw for a chook which is provided by Graeme Beasley from the Old Vic Inn.
GOLF CARS FOR HIRE
The Canowidnra Golf Club has three golf cars for hire at a cost of $25 for 18 holes or $15 for nine holes.
DARTS NEWS
Winner of the darts this week was Brett Gray with runner up Craig Hogan.
Ben Clark got the highest score.
Darts are on every Wednesday night, names in by 7.30 for an 8pm start and the cost is $2.
Everyone is welcome so come along and have some fun.
Even if you have never played darts before come along and we will get you started.
RAFFLES
Thursday night seafood winners were Dave Middleton, Graeme Beasley (2), Mick Cassidy, Chris Wren and Jim Hogan.
Friday night seafood winner was Rhys Cain.
Saturday night winners were Kerrie Cain (2), Fay Thomas (2), Jodie Paton, Edwin Wensley, Graham Wensley, Murtle (2), Karen Webb, Col Russell, Gavin Callan and Wendy Hogan.
There were 15 prizes – 11 meat trays, one fruit and veg and three other prizes.
Tickets go on sale from 6.30pm with the first draw at 7.30pm.
The members draw was not won this week so Saturday night's draw will be $1000 for the first draw and $300 for the second chance draw.
The 9pm draw for $100 was not won this week so it will be $120.

The Monday to Friday draw w2hich is done between 5.30 and 6.30pm is $100.
