Chris Williams U8's
Go you little champions!!! These Tigers played an awesome game. I believe these boys have the biggest hearts in the Club. Miles Mackenzie proved he can catch and tackle anything or anyone that moves, well done Miles. Jake Hutchings and Nathan Whatman both scored 2 tries each, with Callum Clyburn also scoring a try. All three boys ran the legs of the opposition. Jai Black, Shae Reid and Wesley Blair all took the legs out from under Forbes with some great tackling. We also witnessed some superb goal kicking from Jack Traves, William Middleton and Nathan Whatman. All the Tigers played an excellent game of football, and showcased the true spirit of the game.
Final score Tigers 26 - Forbes 18. Well done boys!!!! Go the TIGERS!!!
Canowindra Services Club U10's
Well what an effort by the U10's. All players put all they had into this game. We welcome Robert Wiegold to the team who had a great first game chasing and tackling well all game. Some other strong defenc came from Daniel, Jamara, Warren, Harry and Louis. Some hard runs by Tyler, Bailey, Talby and Jordi but Forbes managed to keep the Tigers at bay. Tara, Zac and Josh played well all game backing up their team mates. This was a tough and close game with Bradyn scoring 2 tries and converting one, and Bailey also converting the other. With the absence of a few players there was no rest time for anyone, but the Tigers kept it a close and exciting game, Well Done Tigers.
Final score Forbes 18 - Tigers 12.
Canowindra Hotel U11's
U11's this week had a big quest in front of them with only one reserve and up against a tough competitor they managed not only to play well, but also grabbed a victory. We would like to welcome newcomer Dean Wilson to the team. Dean started his footy experience with a great game. Harry, Tim, Michael and Kye made sure that Forbes didn't find any gaps with some great in your face defence. Like a bad rash on Forbes players, Tara, Makk, Kurt and Zac smothered every effort Forbes made to sneak through the line. These players cleared the road for some terrific runs by Jayden, Simon and Bailey who all score well executed tries for the team. Final score Tigers 18 - Forbes 6. A great result for such a consistent team. Great work Tigers!!!!!
Earsmans Concrete U12's
The effect of 3 weeks off meant these Tigers found it hard to get back into the swing of things. While there was plenty of heart and effort given during this game it was a shame to see the boys dragging their heels after Forbes scored a quick try from the kick off. Tigers need to remember that winning is not everything, as long as you try your hardest and have a good time playing the great game of footy you are all winners anyway. With some great tackles made, unfortunately Forbes kept finding the gaps and executed their game plan well to run away with the game. Tigers need to learn from this game and fire up against Red Bend on Saturday. It would be terrific to see a few smiles on the boys faces against Red Bend this week. Keep your chins up Tigers!!! Final score Forbes 32 - Tigers 0.
Canowindra Produce U14's
The final score against Forbes does not tell the true story behind this game. With the boys wearing their hearts on their sleeves this week we witnessed the true fighting spirit. Luke Watt, Beau M and Brodie F stepped up to the plate and tackled hard all game, even though Forbes players used their size and strength to push through the line and score 9 tries. Tigers found it difficult to break the Forbes defence but not from the lack of trying. Tigers should be proud of their consistency in this game as they never gave up and played hard until the final hooter. With such a great show of determination from the Tigers every game, it makes all their games a pleasure to watch. All the U14's played well, but unfortunately Forbes showed us why they are one of the top teams in the competition, taking the win. Final score Forbes 52 - Tigers 0. Great effort Tigers!!!
Kitome U16's
U16's coaches had the boys fired up and ready to take on Forbes, as in the first 2 min Alex Myerswent over the line to put the first points on the board, with Aaron converting. The boys where on a mission and with some great passes from Nigel K and Nick W, Kain T was quick to steal another try. Forbes where on the back foot when Ronny and Cho charged up the field with Cho busting through the line to score under the posts. Aaron converted once again taking the score to 16 - 0. After all that excitement Haydon H had us on our feet again with a break down the sideline with brother Jacob right along side of him, Haydon dished the ball out in precision timing just before he hit the ground and gave Jacob a clear run to the try line, taking the score to 20 - 0. Michael T had some big hitups and worked hard in defence. Kain, Alex, Nick and Aaron E all worked hard to keep Forbes from scoring. The Tigers were still not finished with the try line seeing Brad T running in a try under the posts with Aaron making the conversion taking the score to 28 - 0. Piggy made some great ground for the Tigers with his side steps and speed. Adrian made some great hit-ups is improving his game every week. Stuart, Nigel and Keiran all worked hard with some great passes by the boys. Then with the ball being passed across the field with speed and skill and a great off load by Cho put Brad Stuart in the corner for his first try for the year. The Tigers were getting tired and Forbes were quick to put 2 tries away but it was too late for a come back and the Tigers won the game 32 - 14. I would just like to congratulate the boys on a great win. They played as a team and with great sportsmanship you are a pleasure to watch and are improving each week. Good on ya boys!!!!
THAT WAS GOLD!!!!!
