MID WEEK GOLF COMP
There is a mid week comp on Wednesday's, with tee off from 12 noon onwards.
Cost is $5 per player for Canowindra Golf Club members golfing members and $10 for Canowindra Golf Club social members and $15 for non-members.
The winner and runner up will scoop the pool for the best nett scores.
All cards go into the draw for the chook which is provided by Graeme Beasley of the Old Vic Inn.
If you are a player without a current AGU handicap, we will give you a provisional handicap and once you have returned enough cards your true handicap will be awarded, and you can become a full golfing member.
The winner this week was Graeme Beasley with a nett 31.5 and the runner up was Peter Small nett 37.5.
The winner of the chook was Andrew Pull.
The Canowindra Golf Club is one of the best in the west, so use the daylight saving hours.
GOLF CARS FOR HIRE
The Canowindra Golf Club has three golf cars for hire.
Cost is $15 for 18 holes or $15 for 9 holes.
DARTS NEWS
Darts are one very Wednesday night, names in by 7.30pm for 8.00pm start.
Cost is $2, everyone is welcome.
So come along and have some fun.
Even if you have never played before and don't have any darts, come along and we will get you started.
RAFFLES
Saturday night winners were Jodie Paton, Kerrie Clark, Peter Watt, Gwen Campbell, Mark Wright (3), Jean Davis, Bob Beeken (2), Judy Paton (2), Brigid Maloney and Peter Bourke (2).
There are 15 prizes – 11 meat trays, 1 fruit and veg and 3 other prizes.
Tickets on sale from 6.30pm with the draw at 7.30pm.
The members draw for $800 was not won this week, so Saturday night's draw will be $900.
The 9pm draw was not won this week, so it will be $80.
Sunday raffle winners were Gary Cross (3), Paul Jeffress, Matt Gillan, Doug Slattery, Andrew Hegarty, Mick Cassidy and Pedro Flannery.
The Monday to Friday draw, which is done between 5.30pm and 6.30pm is $320.
FOOTY TIPPING
Murtle is still leading the comp with 12 points, followed by Big Kev and Marg Slattery on 11 points then Jamie Grant, Brigid Maloney, Natalie Saytos and Wayne Rue on 10 points.
Brigid's Friday night steaks proved very popular so she is continuing with them but has to increase her price to $12, which is still quite reasonable for Scotch Fillet Steak with salad or vegies and a free homemade dessert.
Coffee & Cream are playing at the club on Saturday night to help celebrate Heather's 60th Birthday.
