The Canowindra Golf Club now has three golf cars to hire out for 9 or 18 holes. Cost is $25 per 18 holes and $15 per 9 holes.
Bookings with payment will be essential, as they have become very popular during the warmer months when that game of golf is a necessity.
Book now to avoid disappointment.
A reminder to those hiring the golf carts that they are to be driven in a responsible manner at all times to avoid damage.
Sunday's 18 hole competition was an 18 Hole Stroke sponsored by the Golf Club. The winners were Don Taylor 1st, Ned Grant 2nd, Peter Kennedy 3rd, Britt Gibby 4th and Mark Wren came in 5th.

A small reminder to those playing in the men's Sunday golf competition that your 2006 membership fees must be paid before you commence your round of golf.
Don't forget that the nine hole competition is still being run with tee off by 10.00am Sunday mornings.
The cost is $4.00 per person.
All are welcome to play in this fun event. Winner of this week's competition was Matt Rice with net 26.
There has now been a dress code introduced for the golf course, this includes NO thongs or singlets to be worn on the course.
All playing on the golf course either competition or fun must have enclosed foot-ware at all times.
Remember that green fees have to be paid to the club before going onto the golf course to be covered by insurance and that the Canowindra Golf Club will NOT tolerate under age drinking on the golf course.

New Golf Competition
There is a mid week competition on Wednesday's sponsored by Graeme and Alison Beasley of the Old Vic Inn and tee off from 12 noon on.
Cost will be $5.00 per player for Canowindra Golf Club golf members and $10.00 for Canowindra Golf Club Social members and $15.00 for non-members.
The winner and runner up will scoop the pool for the best net scores. If you are a player without a current AGU handicap we will give you a provisional handicap and once you have returned enough cards your true handicap will be awarded and you can become a full golfing member.

Winner of the Old Vic Inn competition this week went to Paul Jeffress with a net score of 29 C/B and Adam Rogers the runner up with net 29.
Each week all players will go into the draw for a large chook just for playing. This week's winner for the chook was Don Taylor.
Darts News
Darts are on every Wednesday night. Names in by 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start.
Cost is $2.00. Everyone is welcome. So come along and have some fun. Even if you have never played before and don't have any darts come along and we will get you started.
Raffles
Saturday night winners were Marg Grant, John Cousins (4), Jodie Paton, Annette Thomas (2), Doug Flannery, Heather Slattery (2), Sue Rye, Judy Watt, Cindy Wilson and Murtle.
This week there will be 15 prizes - 10 meat trays, 1 fruit and vegetable tray and 4 other prizes.
All are welcome to have a chance to win these great prizes. Thickets are on sale from 6.30pm with the draw at 7.30pm.
The $700 Members Draw was won this week so Saturday nights draw will be $500.

The Golf Club Restaurant is having a Friday night special every Friday and during the month of February it is Scotch Fillet Steak served with vegetables or salad for $10 plus a free dessert.
