The Woodbridge Cup Rugby League competition for the 2006 season kicked off at the weekend with Canowindra having the bye.
Results for round one were: Burrangong 26 defeated Grenfell 20; Molong 60 defeated Koorawatha 12 and Cargo 68 defeated Trundle 0.
On Sunday the Tigers travel to Koorawatha to play the Jets at Trengrove Oval at 2.00pm.
Come along and give your support to our boys - a team of local young men who live and work in our community and play only for their love of the game of Rugby League.
The club wishes to acknowledge the wonderful support of our Sponsors - without you it would be impossible to continue to field a team in a climate of the rising cost of insurances, playing gear and general charges.
Firstly, to the Canowindra Golf Club we thank you for your ongoing major sponsorship and the hospitality offered to our players and supporters.
Also appreciated is the support of all those who participated in our recent Golf Day making the day very successful.
Secondly, to each of our jersey sponsors your help is very much appreciated.

Special thanks to Mr Curran of Nassau Estate for his donation to assist the Club.
Further sponsorship to help our fundraising is always open, some jersey sponsorship is still available or perhaps a donation of a raffle prize.
Help is sought from persons able to assist on game day - perhaps in the canteen or the BBQ, as ground manager or timekeeper or even assist on the scoreboard or sell some raffle tickets.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
A committee meeting will be held tonight Wednesday April 26 at the Golf Club at 8.00pm.
New committee members are always welcome.
Go the Tigers!!!!
