Damian Kennedy will again lead 1st grade after a good year in 2009. The Tigers gave 100% every week under Kennedy in 2009, making it to the grand final qualifier.

The 2009 Woodbridge Cup coach of the year will be looking to surpass the previous seasons feats in 2010.

The town certainly got behind the local coach with crowds up through out 2009.

The Under 18s will be led by Andrew Whatman.

Andrew brings a wealth of experience to the club from a long association with Rugby League.

In his playing career Andrew represented at Divisional level, he then took to coaching in the strong Group 6 competition taking under 18s to consecutive semi finals appearances before coaching first grade in the then Illawarra Amateur league.

He followed this with a stint of six years as a club President.

For his Services he was awarded life membership of the Robertson Burrawang Rugby League Football Club.

After moving to Canowindra Andrew has been actively involved with Canowindra junior league and actually played for the tigers in 2004.

His appointment is a massive boost to the club not just for his coaching abilities but obviously his all round experience.

Under 18s

Teams from Canowindra, Cabonne United, Grenfell, Peak Hill, Condobolin, and a Forbes side are expected to participate in the 2010 under 18s Woodbridge cup competition.

Representative football looks a near certainty for the under 18s, a Woodbridge Cup under 18s representative side will take part in the Western Region Challenge taking on Group ten clubs Cowra and Orange Hawks in early 2010, for those that shine, then the chance to take the steps through Woodbridge Cup, Group 11, Western Rams and Country. There will be more information on this early in 2010.

Training will begin early 2010 for both sides.

Oz Tag

2010 may well see the running of a women’s Oz tag competition. The games will be played on match days and feature sides from the Woodbridge Cup competition. Canowindra will look to field a side of Tigresses. More on this early 2010.
