 Hodge scores again

Hodge scores again

25 Feb, 2009 08:17 AM
Canowindra product Haydon Hodge continued his try-scoring form – but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Canberra Raiders’ SG Ball (under 18s) side from crashing to their second successive loss to start the competition.

The blond fullback was again on the try-scoring list for the second week in a row.

But it wasn’t enough to prevent the Raiders, also including Cowra’s Shannon Boyd, going down to Melbourne 32-22 at Princess Park on Saturday.

The news was much better for Rory Brien’s Parramatta who thumped Penrith 30-0 at CUA Stadium.

The Eels are one of six unbeaten sides in the division, but lead on points differential.

The news was also good for Carl Planicka’s Canberra in their Harold Matthews (under 16s) clash.

They accounted for South West Sydney Academy 46-6.
