Under 8s

Playing in freezing cold conditions and with a lot of missing team mates wasn’t favourable for the under 8s.

Within minutes of kick off Parkes had scored and converted two quick tries, which meant Max Coady, Codie Reid, Lachlan Warn and Dykan Slattery were all working hard in defence from the get go.

Undetered and not ready to give up some great runs were seen by Jake Haywood, Eli Reid and Will Ellis before Parkes ended up with the ball and over the line once again, which they also converted.

Some errors by both teams saw Tigers with the ball and some great runs from Jack Defreitas, Harrison Warn and Jauwarna Cutmore before Codie Reid ran the ball over the line for our first try. The kick was not successful.

Another two unconverted tries came from Parkes before Codie Reid scored his second try for the game.

The final score was Parkes 32-8

Under 10s

Some great defence from Shae Reid and Joe Coady was seen in the opening minutes of the game. Unfortunately Parkes were a little too fast and crossed the line with their first try, which was not converted.

A knock on from Parkes saw tigers with the ball and some great runs from Joe Coady, Shae Reid and Andrew Cutmore before Jamahl Cutmore came into possession of the ball and weaved his way through the opposition to score our first try.

This was Jamahl’s first ever try. The kick was successful by Joe Coady.

Some great runs were then seen by Jacob Nash and Austin Pengilly and Kyra Regan.

Parkes were then able to run in two quick tries one of which was converted.

Some terrific tackling was seen by Kyra Regan and Shae Reid but Parkes were a little too strong and made there way over the line again.

Going into the second half the score was 20-6 and Parkes ran in two more quick tries but the Tigers werent ready to give up and continued playing a good game.

Logan Howell, Austin Pengilly and Andrew Cutmore continued on with some great defence.

Once Tigers were back in possession some great runs from Shae Reid, Andrew Cutmore,J acob Nash put Joe Coady in a great position to score Tigers second try which was successfully converted by Jamahl Cutmore.

Soon after Parkes ran in another try which they also converted.

Some more good runs from Logan Howell, Max Coady and Jacob Nash were seen before Joe Coady ran the ball and scored another try just before fulltime. The kick taken by Logan Howell didnt quite make it over.

Full time score was Parkes 32-Tigers 20.

Under 12s

The first half of the game saw Parkes in possession of the ball for the most part. Nathan Whatman, Callum Clyburn, William Middleton and Kevin Beath were showing some impressive defence but unfortunately Parkes were able to run in three unconverted tries.

Once Tigers did have the ball Sam Willson, Jordan Kemper and Kevin Beath each had some good runs.

Callum Clyburn almost got to the try line but was tackled just short.

Blake Cramer, Thomas Coolwell and Mathew Harrison were each making some good tackles but unfortunately before half time Parkes had ran in another two tries both of which were unconverted.

With a half time score of 20-0 the boys came back on the field with their heads held high and full of determination and it was within minutes that Nathan Whatman had scored a try and put our first points on the board. The kick was converted by Callum Clyburn.

A great run from Jordan Kemper and Thomas Coolwell gave Callum the edge to score the next try which was successfully converted by Sam Willson.

Before full time Callum crossed the line again the kick was not converted.

At the siren the score was Parkes 20-Tigers 16.

Under 14s

The boys went into this game with alot of missing players but still managed to play a great game.

Some good defrence was seen by Bailey Cain, Brendan Morgan Smith, Ebann Malae and Jumara Cutmore in the opening minutes. This defence saw Parkes making a few errors.

Parkes were first to put some points on the board with an unconverted try.

With runs from Harry Whatman and Jake Wythes, Bailey Cain crossed the line. His try was not converted.

Runs were then had by Rohan Toole, Gene Tarrant, Tylah Reid and Cormac Lamond.

Once Parkes had the ball back the boys were working hard in defence but Parkes proved a little too strong and scored and converted another try.

Soon after some great runs from Brendan Morgan Smith, Harry Whatman and Bailey Cain were seen before Rohan Toole crossed the line for our second try, which was not converted.

Before the half time siren soem great defence was seen by Xander Bennett, Robbie Wiegold and Jake Wythes.

Not long into the second half Parkes scored another try before Bailey Cain ran in two quick tries for Tigers, one of which was converted by Rohan Toole.

With the score at 18-14 Tigers way we were fighting hard to stay in front but unfortunately Parkes were able to run in another try and convert it just before full time.

The final score was 20-18.

All the junior Tigers will now enjoy a week off before our next game on July 17 which will be held at home. Please come along and show the tigers some support.
