The tigers four weeks on the road saw two victories and two losses.
On Sunday gone, the Tigers travelled to Grenfell to take on the top of the table Grenfell Goannas.
As it has been for a number of years with this particular road trip, tt was an under strength tigers side that shaped up against the undefeated Goannas.
Despite this the tigers continued their week to week improvement with a strong showing.
The Goannas skipped to a 14-0 early lead and expected another easy day, but Canowindra replied through Rob Burn and Andrew Watson to trail 14-12 late in the first half.
There were two phases of the game that hurt the tigers chances of victory, this was one, in the final minutes of the first half Grenfell took the lead to 26-12 through a couple of simple plays.
Immediately after half time it was a tit for tat affair as Grenfell would edge ahead further only for the tigers to close the gap with tries to Waihe Upeguito and Kepu Nathan.
Then the Tigers led by Robbie Burn and halves Tim and Damian Kennedy took control of the game in the second half controlling the play and the tigers had all the momentum.
Captain Damian Kennedy split the Grenfell defence on a great run to the line, he offloaded to a flying Waihe Upeguito, only to see to his bewilderment Waihe tackled well before he received the ball.
The ball hit the ground and the goannas picked it up to run 90 metres and score under the post.
The tigers lost their composure for a short period and the Goannas skipped away to an unassailable lead.
The never say die tigers continued to work hard and the evergreen Andrew Pull crossed for the final points of the match.
The tigers were best served by Brian Moss who played his best game of the season, Keps and Waihe. In an inspiring performance Damian Kennedy received players player.
The tigers combinations looked a lot sharper this week.
Week to week they have steadily improved and Coach Kennedy will be looking for a good performance from his chargers against Eugowra in the local derby this Sunday.
