Under 8s.
Being led by this week’s captain Jake Haywood, Chris Williams under 8s took to the field in a home game against West Wyalong on Saturday.
A great run from Max Coady and then a pass onto Cody Kelso saw our first try being scored. The kick was not converted.
An error from Tigers saw West Wyalong in possession and some great defence was beeing seen from Lachlan Warn and Max Coady.
Unfortunately West Wyalong were able to slip through and score a try. They also converted.
A big tackle from Lachlan Warn had West Wyalong out over the line.
Once Tigers had the ball back some terrific runs were made by Jack Defreitas, Jake Haywood and Harrison Warn.
It wasnt long before Cody Kelso had busted his way throught to score another try which was converted by Max Coady.
At the start of the second third some errors from Tigers had West Wyalong in possession.
Isaac Trainor, Will Ellis, Jordan Smith and Cody Kelso were working hard in defence but the West Wyalong boys were just too slippery as theye pulled their way over the try line. The kick was not converted.
A great run from Max Coady and a pass onto Cody Kelso saw Cody cross the line for his third try. The kick was taken by Jayden Beath and was successfully converted.
Some runs were then made by Eli Reid, Dylan Slattery, Savannah Trainor and Will Ellis before Cody Kelso crossed the line again. The kick was not converted.
The next try came from West Wyalong but was not converted.
In the last third some great defence was seen by Jake Haywood, Harrison Warn, Lachlan Warn and Isaac Trainor.
Some great runs were made by Jayden Beath, Max Coady, Codie Reid, Cody Kelso and Dylan Slattery.
Unfortunately West Wyalong went onto score two more tries both of which were not converted which at the final siren put them in front by two points.
Under 10s
The first try for Tigers came just minutes into the game by Shae Reid. The kick was converted by Angus Fisher.
Some great runs were seen by Andrew Cutmore, Logan Howell, Logan Ramsey and Kaleb O'Malveney before Jacob Nash finished it off with a try which was converted successfully by Aiden Kelso.
Jamahl Cutmore, Austin Pengilly and Josh Middleton also had some great runs before the next try was scored by Joe Coady. The conversion was taken by Andrew Ctmore and was successfully converted.
The defence work coming from the team was great and it meant that West Wylaong were kept well away from the try line.
With some great runs coming next from and Aiden Kelso, Shae Reid was soon able to cross the line again. Shae also took the kick and successfully converted it.
A special mention for Max Coady and Cody Kelso who came up from the under 8s to help out. Both boys played well.
Going into the second half the score was 24-0 but West Wylaong hadn’t given up and their defence was working extra hard.
The next try for Tigers came from Shae Reid which was his third for the game. The kick was successful by Joe Coady.
With a few minutes left on the clock Joe Coady dashed over the line to score the final try which was kicked by Jacob Fisher. This took the final score to 36-0.
The under 10s are running equal second on the ladder and will now play on Saturday against the second Parkes team whilst everyone else has a bye.
Under 12s
Within minutes of kick off Callum Clyburn had received the ball and put the first points on the board. The kick was not converted.
With some great team work and running from Nathan Whatman, Max Wensley and Sam Willson, Tigers Will Middleton was over the try line again. Will also converted the kick.
Once it was time for defence the boys were all working together with some great tackles coming from Jordan Kemper, Blake Cramer and Will Fagan, West Wyalong were kept out for the entire first half.
Once the ball was back in Tigers possession Some great runs were seen from Kevin Beath, Christopher Pace and Connor Donelly before Callum Clyburn slid under the post for another try, the kick was successful by Max Wensley.
The next try soon came from Nathan Whatman under the post which made it easy work for Thomas Coolwell to convert.
Just before half time Callum Clyburn had ran from half way to score his third try for the game. He also kicked the conversion.
This took the score to 28-0 at the half time siren.
With the second half under way West Wyalong’s attack were eager for some points and finally crossed the line and kicked the conversion.
Shortly after Kevin Beath added some more points to the Tigers scoreline. Kevin also kicked the conversion.
Tigers defence was brilliant with some great tackles from Thomas Coolwell, Mathew Harrison and Sam Willson.
The final try for the game came from Will Middleton, his second for the game. Mathew Harrison took the kick and successfully converted it.
The final score was 38-6
Under 14s
Josh Treyhurn didn’t waste any time and had put the first lot of points on the board within minutes of kick off. Tim Middleton’s kick was converted.
Some great runs were seen by Harry Whatman, Brendan Morgan Smith and Gene Tarrant before Bailey Cain had scored the next try. The kick was not successful.
Shortly after Josh Treyhurn had the ball and once again couldn’t be stopped as he crossed the try line. The kick was taken by Tim Middleton and was successful.
Alex Willson ,Jake Wythes and Zak Whitehead each had some impressive runs but it was Bailey Cain who scored the next try. The kick was not converted.
Before the half time siren Josh Treyhurn scored another 2 tries, one of which he converted and the other was successfully converted by Jumara Cutmore.
Bailey Cain also added another 6 points to the board with a try and a conversion.
This took the score to 38-0 at half time.
Going into the second half West Wyalong’s defence had picked up a bit but with some great running from Brayden Cassidy, Robbie Wiegold and Ebann Malae it wasn’t long before Josh Treyhurn had scored his fifth try for the game which was converted by Jordi Brown.
Some good runs were also seen by Cormack Lamond, Xander Bennett and Luke Wallace.
Bailey Cain was the next try scorer and the kick was converted.
Shortly after Luke Wallace scored the next try which was not converted.
After a great run and pass from Brayden Cassidy, Tylah Reid was able to run through and score the final try for the game which was successfully kicked by Bailey Cain.
The final score was 58-0.
