 Welcombe back Peter Pita

Welcombe back Peter Pita

30 Nov, 2011 09:03 AM
Canowindra Tigers are hoping to follow on after one of the most successful years for the club with the three grades making it into the Grandfinal, with the return of the popular New Zealand player Peter Pita.

Peter quickly became a crowd favourite with his speed and strength in each game.

This was one of many key factors in getting the Tigers to the Grandfinal and coach Gary Whatman has big plans for 2012 with Peter’s return.

Peter’s strength was awarded at the Woodbridge cup presentation night when he took out the Woodbridge cup player of the year award and the Most tries over the whole of the Woodbridge cup first grade.

Not surprisingly, He also was the Canowindra Tigers Best and Fairest, most tries scored and Tigers Player of the year.

He will be a great asset to the tigers in their 2012 season.

Welcome back Peter, go the Tigers.
