On Saturday the Canowindra Pythons travelled to Condobolin.
With the result of the game not going to change either teams position on the table the Canowindra team showed it most on the field.
The Condo team came out firing in the opening 15 minutes of the game putting alot of pressure on the Pythons though once again Canowindra were up to the task of holding the other team out.
Condo took the first points in the game with a penalty goal.
Though Canowindra were able to hit back with a try minutes later from a Condo line out.
With Dan Bowd putting pressure on the half back to make him pass a loose ball into the in goal area Adam Smith came charging through and pounced on the ball to put the pythons in front. The conversion was waved away to leave the score at 5-3 at the half time break.
In the second half every thing went Condo’s way with the Pythons having no possession which lead to Condo scoring a converted try and another penalty goal to win the game 13-5.
Points for the day went to Tom Abbott got 3 points and players player for a brillant game in the centres making alot of tackles and when he had the opportunity witht the ball in hand was making good metres. Adam Smith got 2 points for his big work load also and 1 point went to Pete Stacey and Jimmy Wythes for their non stop efforts especially at the rucks and mauls.
This weekend the Pythons have the bye for the final round.
The biggest game of the weekend will be between Cudal and Aggies who will be playing for a 5th spot on the ladder at Cudal.
