Cowra will be taking junior rugby registrations on Friday, February 22, in preparation for the coming season.
The sign-on will take place at the Cowra Rugby Ground clubhouse from 6pm, with plenty of activities planned for the evening.
A touch footy competition and kicking tournament will complement a free sausage sizzle and drink for any under 13s, 15s and 17s players who register on the night.
Another registration day will be held the following Saturday, March 1, in conjunction with the Twilight Tens tournament.
The club is also calling on all junior players to attend compulsory gala days set down before the season proper starts.
Central West Rugby Union are making the clubs send teams to these carnivals, which will also double as representative selection trials for all age groups from under 13s through to under 17s.
Cowra’s under 17s team will travel to Forbes on March 9 at a time to be announced where players trying to gain selection in the Central West 16s and 17s squads can impress.
The local under 13s and under 15s outfits will play at Orange City’s Waratah Sportsground on March 16 where the 13s, 14s and 15s Central West selectors will take a keen notice.
Eagles officials want to stress that even if a player does not harbour a desire to try out for a Central West side, all clubs have to send a team to these gala days.
The club is also planning to hold a training session in the coming weeks for all players, old and new, who wish to play representative football this season.
Please note these registrations and gala days do not include Walla Rugby. Walla Rugby registrations will begin sometime after Easter.
