This week at Swimming Club it was backstroke Championships and in the dash it was Isaac Beath who claimed the stroke as his own with a decisive win in the boys dash while Madi Vitnell took out the girls dash in a quick time.
Improvers still come in the 33m freestyle, or spoon race, with Taya Crichton leading the way with a 9 second improvement.
Millie Balcomb and Sam Hudson swam four seconds faster than before while Amelia Hickman and Pete McNamara improved their times by three seconds.
Two seconds improvements came from Meg Austin, Brooke Hudson, while Abbey Slattery, Curtis Hughes and Andrew Robson made one second improvements in their best times.
In the spoon semis Abbey Slattery swam out of final contention with a massive nine second improvement, while Will Wright, Will Fagan and Meg Austin improved again by another two seconds.
This laid the platform for an exciting final as Will Wright swam so fast he nearly swam out of his swimmers due to the encouragement from the pool deck as he slashed his time by another three seconds.
Behind Will Tom Robson powered down the pool and took out the spoon in a personal best time of 30 seconds.
He was just 0:13 seconds ahead of his fast-finishing father Andrew Robson, who also lowered his time by a second in the final.
In the 33m breaststroke Millie Balcomb must have been eating plenty of Weet Bix as she slashed her time by nine seconds, a feat matched by Caitlin Brand.
Six second improvements came from Taya Crichton and Julia Wright, before Wade Kinsela lowered his time by four seconds for the breaststroke.
Gene Tarrant, Tom Robson, Matt Harrison and Lucy Hickman lowered their times by two seconds for the same stroke.
In the 33m butterfly Rosie Beath slashed her time by 6 seconds while Will Fagan and Meg Austin backed up with 4 second improvements.
In the backstroke marshaller Mark Edwards picked a heat at random and declared number 6 the belly flop heat and this proved a very close contest but Renae Nash was judged the winner just ahead of Regan Hughes.
Millie Balcomb smashed her backstroke time by 13 seconds just ahead of Julia Wright on 7 seconds and Will Wright on 6 seconds.
Georgia Balcomb swam 4 seconds faster while Pete McNamara backstroked three seconds faster than before.
In the 66m freestyle Dan Friend and Meg Austin cropped their times by 5 seconds while Lucy Hickman lopped 4 seconds off her time and Lydia Fagan was just behind with a three second personal best.
Joanna Balcombe and Bailey Cain swam the two laps two seconds faster than before while Joe Coady and Alicia Earsman were one second faster than before.
With the weather being much more benign than last week the relay finished the night with forty swimmers taking part, five lanes of eight.
After last minute rearrangements due to non appearances lane four won by nine seconds: with the winners being, Max Coady, Dan Friend, Lucy Hickman, Brooke Kinsela, Rosie Beath Rohan Toole, Josh Flannery and Tony Beath.
