21 Feb, 2007 07:50 AM
On Wednesday February 14, Cargo Public School participated in the annual OSSA swimming carnival at Orange olympic pool.

Students keenly participated in their individual events with Makk McNaught placing 1st in butterfly, 2nd in backstroke, 3rd in breaststroke and 4th in freestyle. He will go on to the District carnival at Orange on the 1.3.07 to try his luck for the western region meeting.

The P6 relay team of Makk McNaught, Kaila Knight, Paris McNaught & Theika McNaught were contesting their title of P6 champions. They swam a strong race to again win this title and take another 10 seconds off the record time. They will now go to the Western Region carnival at Dubbo on the 9.3.07. Louis O'keeffe, Mitchell Roy & Brittany Wilson all swam their personal best on the day and made a great contribution to their schools points.
