On Friday March 9, Cargo Public School students Makk, Theika and Paris McNaught and Kaila Knight travelled to Dubbo to complete in the Western Region Swimming Carnival.
They were competing in the Earl Magee Relay championships for P6 schools.
The team finished third in this event and will now travel to Sydney on April 4 and 5 to compete at the State championships held at Homebush Olympic Pool. The children have competed at the western carnival for the last three years and this is the first time they have made State level. They improved their time by 17 seconds from their OSSA carnival, so its a personal best all round for the kids.
The school staff and students wish them all the best for this event.
The team would also like to thank Ian Parker Motor Group for supporting them for this day.
