Congratulations to all the courageous swimmers who participated in the shortened programme on Friday night.
The relay and the 66m were cancelled due to the advancing cold so it was just the medley Championships and the 33m of all four strokes.

Sophie Tremain, Harry Jeffrey and Julia Wright qualified for the semis as they took a second from their times.
The standout performer in the Spoon final was Finbar Smyth as he lowered his time by 4 seconds over the three races and took out the spoon in a personal best time of 37 seconds.
Finbar took a second off his time in the heat, two more seconds in the semi and another second in the final.
This was a great effort in the cool
weather of the evening.

Millie Balcomb and Ellie Giger swam breaststroked the lap five seconds faster than before.
Julia Stanley removed 4 seconds from her time while Eliza Mitchell, Zac Giger, Julia Wright, Josh Middleton and Will Wright all improved their times by 3 seconds.
The swimmers were still participating and improving as Riley Mitchell knocked three seconds from his backstroke time while Julia Wright showed that the cooler water didn’t slow her down as she took 3 seconds from her time as well.
Hudson Izzard, Georgia Balcomb and Sophie Tremain all took 2 seconds from their best times.

This week is the last championship as the 400m freestyle is decided, so any one interested in 12 laps of freestyle sign up and be ready to go on Friday night and
remember that Presentation Night and the AGM are on the following week.
