Swimming Club finished this week under darker skies but the programme went through to the relay.
In the Spoon heats Harry Coady, Sienna O’Dea and Ella Andrews led the improvers with 2 seconds improvements.
Charlotte Balcomb, Sam Coady, Isobelle Lynch, Amelia Hickman, Molly Grant and Kye Reid all lowered their times by a second.
Harry almost swam out of his skin in the semis as he dropped his time by 4 seconds.
Ella Andrews took another second off her time in the semis before lining up in lane 1 for the final.
The pressure of the Spoon Final got to her as she took another three seconds off her time and was ineligible to win the spoon.
The Final came down to almost a quadruple dead heat between two McNamara’s and two Stanley’s with Olivia touching a fingernail ahead of the others to win her second spoon in two weeks.
In the breaststroke Lydia Coady was the standout as she smashed her time by 11 seconds while Talitha Stanley, Tori McKay and Charlotte Balcomb swam five seconds faster than before.
Lucy Hickman took 3seconds off her time before Brooke Kinsela improved by 2 seconds.
In the 33m backstroke Samuel Brand continued to improve as he knocked 8 seconds off his time, Tori McKay removed 6 seconds off her PB.
The Belly flop winner was Lucy Hickman in a very close contest with sister Amelia.
The Butterfly showed bigger improvements as training is beginning to pay off as Charlotte Balcomb too 14 seconds from her time, Angus Fisher took 9 seconds off his best time and Talitha Stanley improved by 4 seconds.
Angus has been training so well that he swam the 100 butterfly for the first time and set a very reputable time.
Charlotte Balcomb smashed her 100 breaststroke time by 34 seconds closely followed by Will Wright with a 28 second improvement and Josie Clements who swam 26 seconds faster than before.
Tori McKay improved by 25 seconds, Millie Balcomb 21 seconds, Harriet Balcomb 20 seconds and Georgie Fisher swam 16 seconds faster than before.
Brooke Kinsela was 18 seconds faster closely followed by brother Wade who took 17 seconds off his best time.
In the single figures for the 100 BBB were Caitlin Brand 7 seconds Anna McNamara 8 seconds.
Forty eight swimmers lined up for the relay and it was lane 2 who actually swam exactly to their handicap time and won the relay by 9 seconds.
Taking home the relay pennants were Ella Andrews, Kaitlin McKay, Charlotte Balcomb, Julia Stanley, Olivia McNamara, Mitchell Stanley Ellis Hawker and Jake Wythes.
