Canowindra Swimming Club had their last trial run, so to speak, as swims count for points from this week.
Big improvers once again from the 66m races and Amelia Holmes led the way with a 54 second improvement in her 66m freestyle.
Just under the double figure improvement was Harriet Balcomb who lopped 9 seconds off her previous best for the two laps of freestyle.
Next best improvers for the 66m freestyle were Sara Naylor, 6 seconds, Isaac Beath, 5 seconds, and Ali Beath a 4 seconds improvement.
Pip Johnson and Wallace Stranger improved by 3 seconds, while Sam Flannery, Josh Flannery, Nick Willson and Michael Brown all lowered their times by 2 seconds.
Eloise Beath topped the improvers in the 66m BBB as she knocked 35 seconds off her previous best for the two laps of breaststroke.
Alicia Earsman, Lachlan Clulow, Wallace Stranger and Rossanne Holmes broke their breaststroke best by 2 seconds while Madison Vitnell improved her time for the 66m backstroke also by 2 seconds.
Georgia Brown showed her versatility in her first year with Canowindra Swimming Club as she lowered her 33m breaststroke and backstroke times by 2 seconds each, well done Georgia.
Tayla Huckle mastered the difficult butterfly as she took 2 seconds off her previous best for the one lap, while Adelaide Ellis and Josh Flannery also took two seconds off their 33m backstroke times.
In a very close race Josh also won the spoon in the 33m freestyle by a fingernail in a personal best time of 28 seconds.
The belly flop winner was Bailey Cain with a cracking flop as he showed his courage when all other heat swimmers bailed out an just slid into the pool. We hope for a better performance this week
With six lanes of six swimmers the relay proved a chaotic, fast race, but hitting the wall first were Sophie Tremain, Jennifer Holmes, Ali Beath, Alex Willson, Tim Middleton and Brydon Hughes.
So swimmers please remember the cumulative, season point score commences this week, so it is essential that you tick what strokes you are swimming before Bron picks up the book on Wednesday afternoon so that the correct heats can be worked out.
If you can not get to the pool and do this please let Bron know so she can enter you before the Friday night.
All the above ensures that Friday nights run smoothly and no one misses out on an event, so either nominate on Friday night before you leave the pool or before late Wednesday afternoon.
