John Vane gave himself up after his best mate and fellow bushranger, Micky Burke, was shot by Gold Commissioner, Henry Keightley, at Dunn's Plains near Rockley on 24 October 1863.
Craig Bratby is to launch his book on John Vane at Neville Show on Saturday, 9 November 2013.
