Canowindra will soon have new public toilets with disabled access, thanks to a $60,000 grant from the state government.
The money was awarded to the Canowindra Business Chamber by State MP Troy Grant to rebuild the toilets at Memorial Park under the Building Partnerships Program.
Member for Dubbo Troy Grant said it was imperative that a central part of the town had facilities with disabled access.
"It's a real central and focal part of the town," he said. "It draws both tourists and members of the public."
The Canowindra Business Chamber's David Cullane said the project would be a real boost to the liveliness of the town.
"So many people already use this park," he said.
"This will allow even more people to enjoy it."
Cabonne mayor Bob Dowling said it was a credit to the program and an example of state government, local government and the business chamber working together.
"The partnership's title is quite fitting as it's a true case in point of government working with the community," Mr Dowling said.
