Last Sunday captains, vice captains and prefects went on an excursion to a leadership conference in Sydney. It took us four hours to get there, once we arrived we hopped out of the car and did lots and lots of walking to reach our hotel called the YHA - Youth Hostel of Australia. We then settled in and unpacked our bags.

After unpacking we got ready to walk across the harbour bridge. I also got to experience my first time on a train. Once we had finished walking over the harbour bridge we raced to see Luna Park but unfortunately we couldn't go in.
Once we finished taking thousands of pictures, we got on board a ferry, which is a different type of boat. When we got off we were starving for some dinner.
After we were full of food, we continued to walk back to the hotel. We all stayed up until about 10.30pm at night.
On Monday we had an early start at 6.30am in the morning. We only had half an hour to eat breakfast then gather our belongings and head off to the Leadership conference. We stared at how big the theatre was. The people speaking were: Mike Martin, The honourable Bob Carr, Cowen Ashton, Andy Griffiths and Ita Buttrose.
They were all amazing, speaking about leadership but the one who inspired me the most was Ita Buttrose. She was so amazing she put her hand up to be leader and was chosen. Ita Buttrose was the editor of Women's Weekly.
After the conference had finished we had to rush out before peak hour which is a lot of traffic. We got in the car and headed our of Sydney for another four hour trip back home to Canowindra. It was a really amazing trip. I would also like to say thank you to Miss Dixon and Mrs Kirsty Smith for driving and taking care of us. What a great adventure.
