The Canowindra Country Bakehouse Farmer's Challenge is set to provide the perfect family entertainment and prizemoney of $400. The novelty event kicks off at 6.30pm on Friday, September 26, with all entry and indemnity forms available at the Canowindra Country Bakehouse and must be returned by Monday, September 21. Teams must consist of four people over the age of 15.
With a new secretary, Amy Watson, President Geoffrey Beath and Publicity Officer, Amy Carr, the committee is gearing up for a big two days over Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27, with a program soon to be released.
The Canowindra CWA will be putting on a delicious lunch on the Saturday, with the Red Cross also whipping up a tempting morning tea.
After being awarded a $70,000 grant last month for the restoration of the historic sheep shed at the Showground, this year's show will mark the last before renovations get underway. It is hoped that the shed will also be suitable for use for community functions and events can be used for community functions and events.
