For the third year in a row, Gaskill Street and surrounding businesses will light up as quilts adorn business windows from Wednesday, October 1 to the following Wednesday, October 8. The open air section will see the quilts hung from balconies on Saturday, October 4.
Organising the event along with Fiona Ferguson and Robyn Wilkinson, Debbie Guihot said quilts have begun arriving ahead of the big weekend.
"Fiona has had quite a few come from Parkes and Forbes and we're hoping even more arrive soon," she said.
There's still time to get your quilt in, with Debbie encouraging everyone to bring their quilts in to the Plague and I, Gaskill Street as soon as possible, or immediately after the Canowindra Show if they are on display there.
With the event growing each year, the committee has introduced a new competition.
"We'll be having a people's choice competition," Debbie said.
"It will be $2 to vote, forms will be in various shops and all the quilts will have a number on them and people can drop them back to me (Plague and I, Gaskill Street)."
With 138 quilts on display last year, organisers are encouraging any seasoned or budding quilters to drop their work in to Debbie as soon as possible.
After coming from Sydney, Parkes, Forbes, Cargo and Cowra last year, Debbie said the event is expected to get bigger and bigger.
"We had great feedback after last year so we're sure it will be another wonderful one this year," she said.
