Running from 8.30am to 1pm in Canowindra, the day will begin with a seminar on canola agronomy.
Various factors including the impact of seed size on early vigour/grain yield, influence of variety times time of sowing and frost risk, canola crop nutrition, Sclerotinia/Beet western yellow virus and Propyzamide use in canola will be on the agenda from 8.30am to 10am.
Speakers include Don McCaffrey, Rohan Brill, Col McMaster (NSW DPI), Peter Wilson, Neale Coutanche (Lachlan Fertilisers) and Stuart Moncrieff (Cheminova)
From 10am to 11am a seminar will be held on herbicide resistance, including local results, windrow burning and the growers experience and what we canlearn from WA growers.
Speakers include Tim Wright (AGnVET), Murray Balcomb and Lawrence Balcomb.
Wheat agronomy will be the topic of discussion between 11.30am to 1pm, with variety specific agronomy trials, frost damage, wheat nutrition, fertiliser toxicity and a summary of the 2014 cereal disease up for discussion.
Expert speakers include Andrew Milgate, Peter Matthews, Col McMaster (NSW DPI), Rob Atkinson, Peter Watt (Elders) and Nigel Hall (Impact Fertilisers).
