The Cowra Central West branch of AFGW are seeking applications from female students, who have recently completed the HSC, for the inaugural Cowra Canowindra Scholarship.

Applicants are advised to seek further information on afgwcentralwest@gmail.com . The successful applicant will have been educated in the Cowra Canowindra district and achieved an excellent result in the HSC.
The application should include a CV stating academic achievements, school and community involvement and a covering letter about the goals, ambitions and motivation and the reason why this scholarship is important to the applicant. A copy of ATAR and acceptance to a tertiary institution and information regarding any other scholarship or grant the applicant has received should be included in the application along with a character reference or Principals letter. Applications close on January 31.
The successful applicant will be notified and invited with a parent to attend the dinner and presentation on 7th February at the Cowra Bowling Club. All other applicants will be invited to attend at a cost of $25.
The guest speaker will be Jennie Baird whose topic will be " Leading a Purposeful Life - how to design the life you love". Her address promises to be stimulating for everyone and of particular interest to those school leavers who are about to embark on new and different career paths.

This organisation supports the education of women and girls throughout the world and gives you membership of the powerful lobby group, the National Council of Women. The Central West Branch supports women from this district through the HSC Scholarship and the Dr Barbara Wright Memorial Scholarship for Post Graduate students with funds raised at functions during the year.
The dinner will be held at 6.30pm for 7pm and tickets are available by contacting Mrs Sally Delaney, Lachlan Valley, Grenfell Rd Cowra and should be received by January 30.
