With a lack of numbers, the Pythons played considerably well until the last 15 minutes of the game where West Wyalong dominated the scoreboard.
The final score was 43-5 with Lachlan Watson being the only try scorer for Canowindra.
Players player and three points went to Joe Keady, two points to Daniel Bowd and one point to both Michael Grant and Kenny Turnball.
The next game the Pythons have donated their home game for the Ben Mitchell Rugby Tribute game which will be played at Cudal.
Ben Mitchell was sadly lost last year which devastated his friends, family and the whole local community.
Ben played rugby for the Cudal Cobras and was an active member of the community so what better way to honour his memory then to have a day of football.
"The day is about reflecting, catching up with friends and talking about memories of Ben whilst watching some Rugby," says Murray Balcomb.
There will be food, a raffle and a jumping castle on the day to raise money for the local community.
The money raised from this day will go towards the Child Care Centre, the Primary School and a shade structure at the ground in a tribute to Ben Mitchell.
All are encouraged to come along to support this local community and to see a great day of football with three games being played.
At 12.15pm the day will be kicked off with an under 7s Walla Rugby game with the Canowindra Pythons playing the Cudal Cobras.
At 1.15pm the Cudal Cobras Old boys, Red and Green, will take on each other.
At 3.15pm the main game will be played with the Canowindra Pythons taking on the Molong Magpies.
