Certainly, the sparkle seems to have gone out of the familiar sign on William Street in Kings Cross.
After 40 years in all weather it is being pepped up. The lights went out last year so that a major refurbishment could begin on its 800 fluorescent lamps.
It's not the first time the sign has gone dark. In 2007, it was switched off for the inaugural Earth Hour and the following year four activists unfurled a banner over the billboard protesting at the company's sponsorship of the Olympic torch relay at Kings Cross.
Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible. Enjoy.
