The Inland Tourism Awards are held annually to acknowledge excellence in tourism in the four regional tourism areas of Central, Inland, Murray and Riverina.
Chair of the Awards, Jane Barnes today congratulated the Award finalists.
‘We have had a record breaking year with 51 finalists competing in 19 categories across the four inland tourism regions,” she said.
“The judges have commented on the high standard of professionalism and innovation the finalists have shown in their field. This year we also have five previous INTA winners being inducted into the INTA Hall of Fame.
“The INTA Board is looking forward to the gala award dinner being held at the Broken Hill Civic Centre on Saturday 25 July where winners will be announced and regional tourism will be celebrated.”
A key program on the regional tourism industry calendar, these awards have been credited for elevating regional tourism businesses to achieve state-wide and national acclaim.
Last year many winners from the 2014 Inland Tourism Awards gained finalist status at the NSW Tourism Awards and of these, seven entrants were awarded gold, five won Silver and four won Bronze Awards.
The Inland Tourism Awards provide tourism organisations and individuals the opportunity to gain an insight into their industry, their business, achieve recognition for their success and promote tourism within their region.
The winner will be announced at the Inland Tourism Awards Gala Dinner on Saturday, July 25 at the Broken Hill Civic Centre.
