The Pythons came from finishing fifth on the competition table at the end of the regular season to featuring in the 2015 GrainCorp Cup Southern Division grand final in Blayney.
Unfortunately the Rams proved too strong and ended Canowindra's dream run in front of healthy Canowindra crowd at King George Oval.
Guess speaker on Saturday night was Central West Rugby CEO Peter Veenstra, he explained the competition changes ahead of next season with the two GrainCorp divisions merging into one.
After his speech he took time to present Liz and Ross Noble with a Central West Rugby medallion in honour of their son and former Canowindra Python Chris Noble.
Liz and Ross then presented the inaugural Chris Noble Memorial to the club's first recipients as voted by their teammates as the most inspiring members of the squad on and off the field.
Daniel Bowd and Adam Grant were recognised as joint winners with an equal amount of votes.
"Dan, Adam and Chris all played in an under 12s grand final together years ago, they were two of his best mates so it's pretty fitting," team manager Graham Rice said.
"The trophy is awarded to the most inspiring player who has helped on and off the field, each player had two votes and Liz and Ross were their to present it, it was very touching," he said.
The night finished with the unveiling of Luke Watt's new Python tattoo, well done Watty.
