In it's fourth year, Canowindra's Airing of the Quilts has again drawn hundreds of onlookers from across the state, with visitors hailing from Cowra, Orange, Bathurst, Tamworth, Wagga, Parkes, Forbes, Sydney and even as far afield as Tasmania.
With more than 120 quilts this year, visitors were spoilt for choice, again this year a walking trail created around the town to encourage people to visit, stop and wander through Canowindra's shops and attractions as they checked out the quilts on display.
Organisers Debbie Guihot, Fiona Ferguson and Robyn Wilkinson were pleased with the response and say the homegrown idea continues to develop and generate interest in the Central West town. "Thanks must go to all of the businesses for the use of their windows and verandahs and to all the wonderful quilt makers who loaned us their quilts to display." they said.
The People's Choice winner this year was the William Morris quilt in K & H Interiors and Design window made by Wendy Morrow.
