Through your paper I would like to thank the busy knitters of Canowindra who since our meeting in March have managed to complete 24 rugs to be forwarded to Sydney so that they can be despatched to countries around the world suffering trauma and need for warmth. Also thank you to those who have donated 8ply wool to help the knitters complete their rugs.

Many of these knitters have also donated the wool that they have used. Our next meeting takes place on July 28 at the HACC office. If you can knit please come and join in. Those of you who have some 25cm squares already completed bring them in so that they can be sewn with others to make more rugs.

Sadly we can't hang them, sorry I don't believe in capital punishment, but this pair deserve it.Such a beautiful girl, who should be happily married to the man she loved.
