The peak meant that Canowindra residents who work in Cowra were able to cross the John Grant Bridge as normal this morning.
Finns Lane behind Gaskill Street shops is closed and residential flats in the lane are cut off.
The SES is warning that further rain predicted in the next 24 hours could produce some renewed river rises.
The following roads and bridges are already confirmed as closed.
Soldier Settlement Bridge located 17kms west of Canowindra on the Gooloogong Road.
Canowindra to Woodstock road at Gallagher’s Lane 3kms south east of Canowindra.
The Canowindra to Mandurama Road at Cherry Tree Falls Bridge.
The following roads and bridges may close as a result of major flooding and should be avoided by motorists.
River’s Road at Bangaroo Bridge 22kms west of Canowindra.
Anzac Avene on the Canowindra to Eugowra Road.
Canowindra to Gooloogong Road at Fossil Corner and near the property “Alfalfa”.
Meanwhile minor flooding is occurring along the Mandagery Creek at Eugowra.
The flood peak at Eugowra is expected at 8.4 metres on Thursday.
