Wool industry experts are flocking to Canowindra from Thursday for a wool harvesting expo.

Running from Thursday August 25 to Sunday August 28 the expo will be a free event featuring the latest shearing equipment and 1000 sheep to try them on, sheep handlers, shearing shed builders, sheep nutrition and wool brokers.
On display will also be stud breeds, training demonstrations and health advice.
Each day of the expo will have a different focus.
Thursday will be focused around high school students as a career day.
Students from four schools will attend allowing the students to learn about wool handling and classing.
Friday will be a blade shearing day and will focus on farmers and contractors with stalls and yard setups.
Canowindra Health Services will be providing hearing tests and a Black Dog Institute stall.
Friday night will see a dinner with a guest speaker from the Black Dog Institute discussing depression in a rural setting.
Saturday is an open day for anybody to try the latest products with stalls and setups from the previous day staying up for the day and Sunday will be a training day with judging and sportshear NSW training being conducted all day.
