Ian Guihot, who also runs the local taxi service, took over the Caravan Park last week after the previous caretakers looked after it for six years.
The tender for the Park will be up for tender for a period of three years however Ian will look after it for the time remaining on the current tender.
“I will tender for it if everything’s going well,” he said.
“It’s working in well with the taxi, I can duck away and come back.”
Numbers to the Park have already increased in the past week.
At the moment, visitors to the Caravan Park can pay for two nights and receive the third night free.
Ian has already set out improving the facilities, with the planting of natives and a herb garden underway.
“Over the Spring months, people will see changes,” he said.
“We are making the park more beautiful.”
