Brown and Aditagane notched 19 tries throughout the regular rounds. The Tigers loss against Grenfell in the last round of the season resulted in the latter progressing to the finals and Canowindra missing out.
The Goannas were beat in opening week of the finals. This Sunday’s grand final will be contested between Trundle and Condobolin at Canowindra’s Tom Clyburn. Further award winners were Grenfell’s Phil Ingram (top point scorer) and Mitchell Gibson (player of the year) of Manildra.
In the lower grades Manildra’s Heidi Regan swept the league tag awards, taking home the top tryscorer, top point scorer and player of the year prizes. Similarly Brock Campbell, also of Manildra, claimed each major prize in youth league.
Binalong’s Dylan Downey and Dylan Arabin both received encouragement awards, while Woodbridge Cup’s coach of the year was awarded to Matt Hall who mentors Condobolin.
A number of coaches and trainers were also recognised for working with representative teams throughout the year including Canowindra’s Brett Traves, Michael French, Colleen Coker and Col Tangye. Binalong and Manildra and Grenfell and Condobolin will contest the youth league and league tag finals respectively.
