One of the more exciting things will be the 25m pool featuring a giant inflatable water roller. Non swimmers can have fun on a jumping castle, while entertainment will come in the form of performances from the Alikinetic Dancers and a DJ from 1pm to 3pm.
Canowindra Public School will be raising money through a stall offering people temporary tattoos and helium balloons.
“I think the pool has done things like this before but not to this scale,” employee Charlotte Forester said.
“There’s lots of people talking about it and we’re hoping it’s a real success. We’re expecting a big turn out and have booked in extra staff including two extra lifeguards.”
Activities on offer during the day also include a giant connect four game on the lawns, slushie machine, face painting and a sausage sizzle will be available raising money for the Canowindra Swimming Club.
Standard entry is all day, a season pass will get you in, while it’s $4 a swimmer and $2 a non swimmer. Charlotte is pleased with Saturday’s weather forecast being sunny and a top of 27 degrees.
“That’s better than it being super hot. Hopefully we get lots of support from the community.” The Canowindra Swimming Pool fun day begins from midday and ends about 4pm.
