With breeds comprising of Isa Browns, Silver Speckled Hamburgs, Campines and Araucanas the students have been busily keeping track of their chicken’s cute but messy growth progress in their chicken diaries since they hatched over 50 days ago.
Marking off their own egg with nail polish, the students also performed all the tasks a budding young chicken farmer should by tracking their successful embryos on their 21 day journey to hatching, including candling the eggs at day 12 to see the developing chick inside.
The students will also be able to take their chickens home with an in class assignment given to the students to write a persuasive text to their parents convincing them to let the students bring their chicken home.
