Six local athletes proudly represented Canowindra Little Athletics Centre at the Central Tablelands Zone Championships in Bathurst on Saturday and Sunday, November 12 and 13.

Results from the weekend of competition included:
Under 8s girls Sophie Phelan (2nd in 60m hurdles, 5th in long jump, 4th in heat of 100m sprint, 7th in discus).
Under 9 boys Harry Duguid (1st in 800m run, 3rd in discus, 4th in 200m sprint, 6th in 70m sprint).
Under 9 girls Lillian Harrison (1st in 100m sprint, 2nd in 200m sprint, 2nd in 400m sprint, 3rd in 800m run).
Under 11 girls Amy Harrison (4th in 800m run, 8th in 100m sprint).
Under 14 girls Maisie Harrison (1st in 800m run, 1st in 1500m run).
Under 15 boys Elih Murphy-Wilson (5th in 100m sprint).
Based on these results Sophie Phelan, Harry Duguid, Lillian Harrison, Amy Harrison and Maisie Harrison have now all qualified to represent the Central Tablelands Zone at the Region Three Championships in Dubbo on February 11 and 12, 2017.
