Archibald Prize finalist Lucy Culliton will be presenting a special one day painting workshop for beginners and experienced adult painters in Cowra on February 25 .

The workshop will be held from 10am to 4pm at the Cowra Regional Art Gallery multi purpose room.
Based on “still life” participants will need to bring an object from home to paint.
Cost is $65 pp ($60 for Friends of the Gallery) including complimentary drawing paper and a canvas board.
All other materials and paints to be provided by participants.

Lucy Culliton frequently paints self-portraits that reference the subject she is currently exploring in her art. At the moment she is painting animals and is pictured here in a sea of fantail pigeons, all of which belong to her.
As for painting a self-portrait, Culliton says: ‘It’s much easier for me to sit for myself than ask someone else. I painted my face from a mirror”.
