Current research suggesting 3-4 percent of the Australian population will develop epilepsy at some stage in their lives and the aim of the Pharmacy’s information day is to show that life still goes on for epilepsy sufferers.
The day will feature a slideshow featuring support networks available to epilepsy sufferers and how epilepsy can impact a sufferer’s life.
The Canowindra Pharmacy staff will be baking up a storm as well, with a cupcake stall also being planned, all proceeds from the day will go towards world epilepsy support.
Pharmacist Samantha Boog said the cause was close to her heart.
“As a newly registered pharmacist part of my training was to organise a health promotion,” she said.
“We had a huge success with last year’s Celiac health promotion and epilepsy is close to my heart. I wanted to push it this year and get it out into the community.
