Students and teachers at Canowindra High School were in full support of Friday’s Nation Day of Action against Bullying and Violence, hosting a range of team building activities to promote communication among the different Year groups.

The student representative council, along with the school’s captains, helped organise the event and said it was a worthy program for Canowindra High School to support.
“We don’t have that much of a problem with bullying but it’s definitely something students should be aware of, and realise how to deal with it,” student Amelia Holmes said.
“It gets everyone together, working together and making friends. It’s important to have the Year groups talking together,” Adelaide Ellis added.
Activities in the afternoon included tug of war, blind fold mazes, tower building contests and a range of other team building games to get students of from Years 7 to 12 working as one.
“Getting people talking and communicating with one another is important,” Year 12 student Jo Balcombe said.
Throughout the week, at each morning assembly, teachers discussed bullying with the students.
